About Emily

Costume Designer & Technician

Emily Rosolowski is a current BFA design student at Michigan State University where she is concentrating in costume design. She started her costume journey at in her high school's theatre guild and has continued learning in the first half of her college expericence. Emily is currently a stitcher in MSU's costume shop and has had the oppurtunity to assistant design Charlotte's Web during the 2022-2023 school year. Emily is focusing on her education and learning as much as she can from her professors, graduate students and guest artists.

Current

Working on a student written screenplay adapted for stage, Emily is designing with Second Stage Productions to make a "girl boss" NYC story come to life.

Charlotte's Web

January- Feburary 2023

This winter, Emily has had the opportunity to assist MFA candidate Kasee Arnett. This show came with the challenge of making humans into animals while still having the cuteness of a children's book. Arnett has trusted Emily with designing the parents and ensemble members as well as the spiderlings. 

Rocky Horror picture show

October-December 2022

This is the first time Emily has worked with Second Stage Productions. With her co-designer, Katherin Poon, the two gave the cult classic a 90s grunge twist. Using a limited budget, shop hours and the actor's closets, a all the renderings were realized and the show was a sucess.
